The Iftar event held at Rice University sponsored by the Bright Choice Foundation, which is connected to Raindrop, a Turkish cultural center, was a memorable occasion that brought together members of the Rice University Muslim community and the Houston Turkish community. This event was an opportunity for people of different backgrounds to meet and engage in light-hearted discussions while breaking their fast. The event was also open to non-Muslim students who participated in a Fastathon, showing their support and solidarity with the Muslim community during Ramadan.

The evening was filled with delicious food, including traditional Turkish dishes, and beautiful recitation of the Quran. Additionally, a brief presentation about the work of the Bright Choice Foundation was given, highlighting their efforts to support education, health, and social services in the local community. The event organizers also incorporated fun activities to help attendees break the ice and get to know one another, such as Heads Up and Islamic Bingo.

Overall, the event served as a meaningful opportunity for members of the Muslim and Turkish communities to connect and learn from one another. It was a celebration of diversity and inclusivity, and it exemplified the spirit of Ramadan - a time of reflection, generosity, and compassion. The event also highlighted the important work being done by the Bright Choice Foundation and their commitment to making a positive impact in the local community.
